Building a High-Performance Marketing Website for KrakenD.
Between May and November 2024, Codalent partnered with KrakenD to convert approved Figma designs into a production-ready Hugo + Tailwind website — with clean components, responsive polish, fast page loads, and a frontend foundation their team could keep evolving.

The brief at a glance.
KrakenD is an open-source, high-performance API gateway used in production by companies that need to aggregate APIs, transform responses, and reduce backend chatter. With the launch of new commercial offerings, their team needed a marketing site that matched the polish and pace of the product.
Their internal design team handed off a complete Figma file — typography, components, and page templates — and asked us to turn it into a production frontend. The engagement ran from May to November 2024, with Codalent owning the build end-to-end while the KrakenD team stayed focused on content and product launches.
Client chose Hugo for its speed and simplicity (a static site that ships in milliseconds), paired with Tailwind for design-system fidelity. The result is a fast, maintainable marketing site the KrakenD team can extend without rebuilding from scratch.
Reusable marketing templates
Homepage, blog, download sections, and more were built with consistent spacing, typography, and reusable UI patterns so the site could scale beyond the initial launch.

A lean frontend stack the KrakenD team can keep.
Hugo, Tailwind CSS, Sass, and lightweight JavaScript gave the site a fast, flexible foundation without adding unnecessary complexity.
“Codalent redesigned our website. We provided the design materials in Figma, and they converted them into our current website. The team used CSS and HTML with Hugo and Tailwind to build the frontend. Codalent’s quick reaction was impressive, and they were trustworthy.”Verified review on Clutch
