GA4 implementation services

Turn GA4 into a measurement system your marketing team can trust

Codalent plans, implements and validates GA4 for marketing and analytics teams. We connect business KPIs to reliable events, data layers, Google Tag Manager configuration and documented ownership.

No universal timeline or unnecessary architecture is prescribed before your implementation is reviewed.

What Codalent delivers

A complete GA4 implementation—not another isolated tag

Codalent handles the measurement design, configuration, validation and handover needed to make analytics useful after launch.

Audit and measurement plan

We assess your properties, streams, tags, plugins, domains, consent flow and reporting gaps, then map KPIs and funnel stages to defined events. Your teams gain one agreed measurement specification.

Event and data-layer specification

You receive documented event names, triggers, parameters, values, identifiers and acceptance tests. This reduces ad hoc tracking and gives developers clear requirements for forms, products and dynamic journeys.

GA4 and GTM implementation

We configure the GA4 property, Google tag or GTM container, recommended and custom events, key events and relevant Google Ads links. Marketing receives controlled access without losing technical governance.

Complex journey tracking

We support ecommerce, SPAs, embedded forms, subdomains and cross-domain checkout, booking or portal journeys. High-value actions retain the context required for campaign, funnel and revenue analysis.

QA, documentation and handover

We test event delivery, consent states, duplicate activity and production releases, then provide a change log, access map and release checklist. The implementation remains easier to operate and maintain.

Technical approach

A technical approach matched to your customer journey

We select the deployment model after reviewing your CMS or application, release workflow, consent requirements, integrations and reporting needs. Complexity is added only when it has a clear operational purpose.

GTM, Google tag or code-managed tracking

GTM supports governed tag changes, while gtag.js can suit code-managed environments. We choose based on team ownership, platform constraints and release controls—not a fixed tool preference.

Stable data-layer engineering

For SPAs, forms and ecommerce, application state can pass explicit values into a structured data layer. This is more maintainable than scraping page elements and supports consistent event parameters.

Consent and multi-domain behaviour

We review CMP sequencing, Consent Mode signals, referrals, redirects and linker behaviour across participating domains. Technical controls are tested for agreed consent states; legal determinations remain with your counsel.

Staged validation and optional extensions

GTM Preview, DebugView, Realtime and browser network checks support pre-release and production QA. BigQuery exports, CRM connections or server-side tagging are considered when governance, reporting or data-control needs justify their cost.

Replace fragmented tracking with clear technical ownership

GA4 often becomes unreliable when marketing defines outcomes, developers control the data layer and separate suppliers manage tags. Codalent brings those responsibilities into one coordinated workflow.

Key leads, purchases or revenue events are missing, duplicated or poorly defined
Cross-domain journeys and dynamic interfaces create session or attribution gaps
Consent-platform and website releases change tag behaviour without structured QA
Marketing waits on multiple teams to diagnose and repair tracking problems

How the Codalent subscription works

An accountable technical team inside your marketing workflow

The subscription provides flexible access to developers, a technical project manager and marketing-technology expertise without coordinating multiple freelancers or building a full internal team.

01

Subscribe and assemble the team

We align the required developers, technical project manager and marketing-technology expert to your GA4 scope. You get the capabilities needed without staffing every role internally.

02

Prioritise work in ClickUp

Audits, specifications, implementation tasks and QA are managed in a shared ClickUp board. Ongoing prioritisation keeps effort focused and makes delivery status visible.

03

Collaborate in Slack and weekly calls

A dedicated Slack channel and weekly cadence calls support decisions, access requests and issue resolution. Codalent AI assists research, planning and documentation under human technical review.

04

Deliver, review and improve

We release validated work, review evidence and update documentation as requirements change. The same team can support new campaigns, website releases and tracking maintenance.

FAQs

GA4 implementation questions

What is included in the GA4 implementation subscription?

Scope can include an existing-setup audit, measurement plan, event taxonomy, data-layer requirements, GA4 and GTM configuration, key events, Google Ads links, consent integration support, QA and documentation. Your subscription can also provide ongoing developers, technical project management and marketing-technology expertise.

Can Codalent repair our existing GA4 and GTM setup?

Yes. We can review existing properties, streams, containers, hard-coded tags, CMS plugins and data-layer behaviour. We identify missing or duplicate events, document intended definitions and prioritise repairs without assuming the entire implementation must be replaced.

Do we need GTM, a Google tag or server-side tagging?

It depends on your platform, governance model, tag mix, consent requirements and engineering workflow. GTM often supports controlled marketing operations, while code-managed tracking may suit stricter release processes. Server-side tagging is optional and recommended only when its data-control or performance benefits justify ongoing infrastructure ownership.

Can you handle ecommerce, SPAs and cross-domain tracking?

Yes. Codalent can implement structured tracking for dynamic applications, item-level ecommerce events, transaction identifiers, currency, checkout stages and refunds. We can also review cross-domain linker behaviour, referrals, embedded forms, payment returns and redirects that may interrupt sessions or attribution.

How are tasks and communication managed?

Priorities are maintained in a shared ClickUp board, day-to-day collaboration happens in a dedicated Slack channel and progress is reviewed during weekly cadence calls. A technical project manager coordinates decisions, dependencies and delivery visibility across your marketing, analytics and engineering stakeholders.

Can the subscription support ongoing work or a defined implementation?

The model supports a defined GA4 implementation as well as continuing maintenance and improvement. The team composition can be adjusted as priorities change, subject to the agreed subscription arrangement. Start timing and scope depend on access, platform complexity, integrations and stakeholder availability.

Who owns the implementation, and how is it tested?

Completed work and ownership terms are confirmed in the engagement agreement. Operationally, we provide documentation, access mapping and change records. Testing can include GTM Preview, GA4 DebugView and Realtime, browser network inspection, test submissions or transactions, duplicate-event checks and post-release monitoring.
