DigitalOcean DevOps is not automatically Kubernetes. We select the simplest maintainable setup that meets the application, release, security and growth requirements.

Droplets, App Platform or DOKS

A well-managed Droplet or App Platform can suit a straightforward site or service. DOKS can suit containerised workloads with specific scaling and portability needs, but adds operational work.

Terraform and reviewed changes

Terraform can define agreed DigitalOcean resources in version control. We protect credentials and state, review plans and introduce automation incrementally to limit destructive-change risk.

Network and access controls

VPC design, Cloud Firewalls, SSH keys, roles and separated production access help establish clearer boundaries and a manageable offboarding process.

Service-level monitoring

Can Codalent work in our existing DigitalOcean account?

Yes. Client-owned accounts are the default. We work through agreed roles, repositories and credential-handling practices, with access limited to what the work requires. Your team retains ownership of the account, configuration, documentation and completed work unless another arrangement is agreed.

Do we need Kubernetes or DOKS?

Not necessarily. A hardened Droplet, App Platform or managed database may be the more practical choice for a smaller workload. We assess application architecture, deployment needs, scaling patterns, maintenance capacity and budget before recommending DOKS or another approach.

Can you migrate our website, CMS, API or application to DigitalOcean?

Yes. Migration planning can cover infrastructure, data, DNS, TLS, redirects, environment variables, scheduled jobs, object storage, analytics, forms, email dependencies and third-party integrations. We define validation steps, a release window and rollback criteria appropriate to the application.

Can you maintain our existing DigitalOcean environment?

Yes. After assessment or remediation, the subscription can support an ongoing backlog for upgrades, performance work, release improvements, monitoring refinement, access reviews and documentation. The exact maintenance cadence and responsibilities are agreed with your team.

How do Slack, ClickUp and weekly calls work?

Slack supports day-to-day coordination and quick technical questions. ClickUp provides a shared record of priorities, tasks and decisions. Weekly calls help review progress, unblock work and coordinate upcoming launches, campaigns or infrastructure changes.
